How We Protect You

Our program offers an "all risk" agreed value policy for your classic boat while it is afloat or layed up. Lay-up can be ashore or in-water. Trailerable boats are covered anywhere in the U.S. or Canada. Coverage for transport of larger boats is also available.

The valuation of property is based on "new for old," except for specifically listed items which are subject to depreciation.

• Liability coverage is provided for loss of life, bodily injury and property damage to third parties, with limits available which are set according to your individual needs. This includes the use of non-owned yachts under specified circumstances.
• Protection during restoration or construction is available.
• Uninsured Boaters coverage equal to your liability limit and Medical Payments coverage of $25,000 per injured person is included.
• Personal Effects in the amount of $2,500 for coverage of your personal property and property of others is included in your basic policy. Increased limits are available..
• Longshoremen and Harbor Workers Compensation Insurance is included.
• Commercial Towing and Assistance Coverage (including boat trailer roadside service) is included in case of emergency, up to $500.
• Wreck Removal Expense is covered.
• Accidental oil/fuel discharge clean up coverage is provided up to $939,300.
• Coverage is available for dinghies, outboard motors and boat trailers when scheduled separately. Dinghies are
• Extension of territorial limits can be arranged to suit your navigational needs.

Do You Qualify?

We can offer coverage for wood and fiberglass hull of all ages. Navigation risks must be in good condition. If you are restoring your vessel, we can offer insurance ashore during the restoration period.

Please contact us if you are looking for insurance for an antique runabout or day sailer, canoe, skiff, or launch. We also insure wood hulled trawlers and cruisers.  Our program is broad enough to provide coverage for fiberglass runabouts, bassboats, cruisers, and sailboats of any age.

You do not have to own an antique vessel to enjoy Heritage Marine Insurance’s A+ protection and service.  We have programs for insuring Mega Yachts, High Performance Boats and Personal Watercraft.

We are unable to insure the following vessels:

•  Homeports in the states of Alaska and Hawaii
•  Bareboat Charters
•  Ferro-cement hulls
